Bussy Temple: ALTÆR unfolds across the estranged multiverse of

Part documentary, part dream, the film moves through fragments of memory orbiting Bussy

Temple’s immersive rave in Ho Chi Minh City with underground collective :Dismal. Drifting

between behind-the-scenes intimacies, post-rave afterlives, the delirium of the dancefloor, and

illusory realities.

Forming a living constellation of underground performers and artists, the film captures the

organic, erratic spirit of co-creation that shapes the Southeast Asian underground scene where

Bodies, gestures, and estranged encounters drift, glitch, and hold one another through a shared

spirit of radical care and camaraderie.

Rooted in Bussy Temple’s world-building practice, ALTÆR reimagines a queer future through a

cinematic folding of past, present, and future drawn together by the magnetic gravity of the

Bussy Temple universe, where timelines, fate, and desire remain porous, transient, and

ever-expanding.
