バンコクを拠点に活動する映像作家/キュレーターのLucas Haynesを迎え、彼の16mmフィルムによる実験映画短編集を上映します。白昼夢を見ているような感覚、高速で移動している感覚、何かを話しながら頭の中では別のことを考えている感覚など、日常の中でふと経験するような意識のわずかなずれをフィルムで表現する作品集。最後に田巻真寛と映像（フィルムとビデオ）の即興セッションも予定。映像の中に迷い込む夏の一夜、お見逃しなく！

Lucas Haynes

バンコクを拠点に活動する独立系の映画作家、キュレーターで、アナログフィルムを用いた作品や拡張映画（エクスパンデッド・シネマ）を制作している。その作風は民話や精霊、土地の記憶などから着想を得ていて、フェスティバルや洗練された完成形に収まることなく、DIYの上映空間からあふれ出るような表現を試みる。バンコクにSpit Labをオープンし、メルボルンのコレクティブArtist Film Workshopでも活動を続けている。

We welcome Bangkok-based independent filmmaker and curator Lucas Haynes for a screening of his 16mm analog experimental film collection. Moving through textural, immersive spaces, the program tries to hold the feeling of dissociation, daydreaming, travelling at speed, thinking about one thing while talking about another. The evening closes with a live improvised session (film and video) with Shinkan Tamaki. Don't miss this summer night of getting lost inside the image.

(Slowly Waking Up Outside)

A collection of seven analog experiments on 16mm, running seventy minutes. The program

moves through textural, immersive spaces that try to hold the feeling of dissociation —

daydreaming, travelling at speed, thinking about one thing while talking about another.

Artist profile

Lucas is an independent filmmaker and curator based in Bangkok, working with analog film and expanded cinema. His practice draws on folklore, spirit, and place, often spilling out of DIY screening spaces rather than sticking to festivals or polished endpoints. He recently opened Spit Lab in Bangkok, and stays active with the collective AFW in Melbourne.\
